Light-Up: A Community Park
How to revitalize a fallow by/with/for the locals?
This community park is designed to meet and activate local residents’ needs and passion for their communities. After talking with local residents and local social workers, I understood the unique needs and difficulties they meet every day for an under-invested community.
How UX is shown in this project?
The park is designed for the community and is dedicated to helping to revive the community by introducing communal activities and events. The target users are the community in Warren, and they have suffered a significant economic recession and community downfall. Many fallow lands stay unmaintained. The people in the community need a park that they can recreate, and it will benefit the community instead of causing too much funding and maintenance.
The solution is to organize events in the park and use crafts and sports to build up the garden and consolidate the community. The park is bright to deter the crimes, eventful to create rejoice. Detailed and precise maintenance guides will be offered to the community so it will not exclude people from the table by design literacy. The park is for all.
